Thor: Love And Thunder star Tessa Thompson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt to lead sci-fi thriller Ash

Hollywood actors Tessa Thompson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have signed on for the leading roles in the upcoming sci-fi thriller film Ash, a project hailing from musician-turned-filmmaker Flying Lotus and Neill Blomkamp.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Thompson will play a woman who wakes up on a distant planet to find the rest of the crew of her space station viciously murdered. She has to decide whether to trust the man (Gordon-Levitt) sent to rescue her. During their investigation into the killings, however, he begins to wonder if she is as innocent as she pretends to be.

Flying Lotus has been attached to helm from an original screenplay by German-Brazilian writer Jonni Remmler. In addition to directing, Flying Lotus will also compose the film's score.

Ash will be produced by American independent studio XYZ Films and Auckland, New Zealand-based production company GFC Films. Blomkamp and American production company Echo Lake Entertainment are serving as executive producers. It will be shopped for worldwide sales by XYZ Films at TIFF next month.

The film is set to begin production in New Zealand next year.

Singer Justin Bieber has released a bunch of hotel receipts and email screenshots to address the sexual assault allegation claim against him which was shared on Twitter on June 20 by an anonymous user. On Saturday evening, a Twitter user under the name Danielle alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Justin Bieber in 2014 when he was 20 years old and she was 21.  In the post, she alleged that she and her friends were invited to Bieber's hotel while she was in Texas and that she was sexually assaulted without consent.
