Chitrangda Singh acquires rights for film on the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient of Indian army, Yogender Yadav

Chitrangda Singh who had produced Soorma as her first production, based on a true story of Sandeep Singh, ex-captain of the Indian hockey team, starring Diljit Dosanjh & Taapse Paanu, has now bagged the rights to another inspirational story of the incredible bravery of Subedar Yogender Yadav.

For the uninitiated, Subedar Yogendra Yadav fought in the Kargil war and to date is the youngest ever to receive the Param Vir Chakra at the age of 19. He also remains one of the three only living recipients of the Param Vir Chakra ever in the country’s history and has since continued to serve in the Indian army.

Speaking about acquiring the rights to develop a film based on Yadav, Chitrangda adds, "I’m very excited to tell stories of real heroes that are many times forgotten even though they still live amongst us. We need to glorify their journey. This will be another attempt to do what I tried with Soorma".

The rights to the movie are with CSfilms co-owned by Deepak Singh.

Nora Fatehi turns up the heat with Marjaavaan's new song Ek Toh Kum Zindagani! Nora Fatehi's sizzling dance moves in chartbusters including 'Dilbar' ( Satyameva Jayate ) and 'Saki Saki' ( Batla House ) among others has made her a household name in a short span of time. The gorgeous actress, who wants to create a niche for herself as a talented actress, has been focusing more on performance-oriented roles, like last seen in Batla House starring John Abraham. Interestingly, one of the major reasons why Nora agreed to do the song 'Ek Toh Kum Zindagani' in Marjaavaan without charging any money is because she feels obliged to filmmaker Nikkhil Advani and producer Bhushan Kumar who offered her the song 'Dilbar' in Satyameva Jayate, considered to be a turning point in her career. Nora has always been grateful and humbled by the opportunity Nikkhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar have given her with both 'Dilbar' and 'Saki Saki' and s...
