SCOOP: Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali to undergo a title change

Seven years after their blockbuster, Kick, Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala are reuniting on the comedy, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, directed by Farhad Samji. The film features Pooja Hegde as the female lead with Aayush Sharma and Zaheer Iqbal in key roles. Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learnt that Salman, Sajid and Farhad are in discussions to change the title of the film.

SCOOP Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali to undergo a title change

"They want to change the title from Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and rename it. They are contemplating on several titles and a new one will be locked very soon," a trade source told Bollywood Hungama. "The real reason to change the title is to avoid any sort of controversy around the film's release. Both Salman and Sajid respect all religions, however, didn't want anyone to misconstrue their title Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali as something that makes fun of two festivals. Hence, the hunt is now on for a fresh title."

Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali tells the story of a family that believes in the oneness of God. Apparently the source for the plot is Salman Khan’s own family. “His father is Muslim. His mother is Hindu. Helen Aunty is a Catholic. Salman’s family is a living example of communal amity. The film’s plot will be similar. It will portray the ups and downs in a family which celebrates both Eid and Diwali with equal fervour. It will be Salman’s homage to the enduring spirit of oneness and brotherhood, a counterpoint to the currently vitiated atmosphere in the country. Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali will take the cinematic experience back to the days of films like Yash Chopra’s Dharmputra and Dhool Ka Phool. It addresses the issue of Hindu-Muslim amity” says the source.

The much awaited film is slated to go on floors around the month of September this year, once Salman Khan is done with his on-going assignment, Yash Raj Film production, Tiger 3, with Maneesh Sharma as the director. In other news, his next film, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, is all confirmed for an Eid 2021 opening in cinema halls as also the digital world on pay per view format. The trailer as well as the first song, ‘Seeti Maar’, has got good viewership on YouTube.

Right after Radhe, he will bring on the Mahesh Manjrekar film, Antim: The Final Truth, which stars him as a Sikh Cop and Aayush as a gangster.

Nora Fatehi turns up the heat with Marjaavaan's new song Ek Toh Kum Zindagani! Nora Fatehi's sizzling dance moves in chartbusters including 'Dilbar' ( Satyameva Jayate ) and 'Saki Saki' ( Batla House ) among others has made her a household name in a short span of time. The gorgeous actress, who wants to create a niche for herself as a talented actress, has been focusing more on performance-oriented roles, like last seen in Batla House starring John Abraham. Interestingly, one of the major reasons why Nora agreed to do the song 'Ek Toh Kum Zindagani' in Marjaavaan without charging any money is because she feels obliged to filmmaker Nikkhil Advani and producer Bhushan Kumar who offered her the song 'Dilbar' in Satyameva Jayate, considered to be a turning point in her career. Nora has always been grateful and humbled by the opportunity Nikkhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar have given her with both 'Dilbar' and 'Saki Saki' and s...

Here's why Housefull 4 actress Pooja Hegde likes dusky skin

Bollywood has often been criticized for its portrayal of dark-skinned characters on screen. Even celebrities who endorse or have endorsed fairness creams have been often called out for promoting such products. Recently, in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama , Housefull 4 actor Pooja Hegde spoke about racial mentality. Pooja Hegde was the second runner-up at the Miss Universe India contest in the year 2010. The actress while weighing in on her opinion on the fairness obsession said, “The grass is always greener on the other side, that’s the only logic. When I go abroad people tell me they love my skin tone and like how it is so golden. When you travel around the world the acceptance level will increase about how you look. Whether it is how much you weigh, because we are so conscious about our body. I go abroad and I see bigger women in bikini, so casual and comfortable being who they are and that's what is acceptable there. Even when you watch them, you will not fee...
