The Academy reveals list of 366 films eligible for Oscars 2021; Suriya's Soorarai Pottru in the race

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has revealed a list of the feature films that are eligible for Best Picture consideration at the 93rd Oscars. Set to air on April 25, the list contains 366 films including some foreign projects. South superstar Suriya's Soorarai Pottru is in the race. The film is loosely based on the book encapsulating the life of a retired Army Captain, G. R. Gopinath who founded Air Deccan, a low-cost airline. The movie is directed by Sudha Kongara, bankrolled by Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment.

To be eligible for consideration under rules provisions implemented for the 93rd Academy Awards year only, feature films may open in a commercial motion picture theater in at least one of six U.S. metropolitan areas: Los Angeles County; the City of New York; the Bay Area; Chicago, Illinois; Miami, Florida; and Atlanta, Georgia, by February 28, 2021, and complete a minimum qualifying run of seven consecutive days in the same venue. Drive-in theaters open nightly are included as qualifying commercial venues in the above cities. Films intended for theatrical release but initially made available through commercial streaming, VOD service or other broadcasts may qualify if the film is made available on the secure Academy Screening Room member site within 60 days of the streaming/VOD release or broadcast. Alia Bhatt says the F word at JIO MAMI Movie Mela while talking about Kareena Kapoor Khan

Alia Bhatt says the F word at JIO MAMI Movie Mela while talking about Kareena Kapoor Khan We earlier told you how beauties Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan recently dropped in at the JIO MAMI Movie Mela 2019 and had a fun conversation with Karan Johar who turned moderator for one of the sessions. Apart from all the interesting revelations that they made, here's a hilarious gaffe from Alia's end that we are going to remember for a while. It so happened that the Bhatt girl was all praises for Kareena. She went on to heap praises on the Veere Di Wedding actor, but it came to an abrupt end after Alia realised she had just blurted out the 'F' word!  “She (Kareena) has genuinely been an inspiration to me. Earlier there was this thing that if an actress gets married, her career slows down a bit but she totally broke that for all of us,” Alia said. This was followed by how amazing Kareena's airport wardrobe really was. “Rocking that track pant with a pout, it’s just f...

Inside Photos: Ileana D'Cruz paints the town red with her Birthday cum Halloween party

Inside Photos: Ileana D'Cruz paints the town red with her Birthday cum Halloween party When your birthday and Halloween fall on the same day, dress up like a Halloween party and blow the candle! Ileana D'Cruz clubbed the two like a boss and we saw her celebrating her 33rd birthday with her girl pals. It certainly looked like she had a fun-filled night. The pictures are proof enough. For the night, the actor picked a black dress and a silver coat to go with it. Her girlfriends were in the Halloween mode too, and black ruled the night. Check out the photos below. While she herself hasn't opened up about it, Ileana has reportedly split with boyfriend Andrew Kneebone, and her frequent social media PDA isn't a thing anymore. However, she seems to have immersed self-love instead, since we keep coming across her amazing travel pictures. Much excited about ringing in the 33rd spring, she shared a photo of herself in a bikini soaking in the sun, a day prior to her birthd...
