"We all need to unite as one nation to fight this coronavirus" - Lata Mangeshkar

Didi, namaaskar, aap kaisi hain?
Main theek hoon. Sab ki terah ghar mein hoon (I am at home like everyone).

"We all need to unite as one nation to fight this coronavirus" - Lata Mangeshkar

You were recently hospitalized for a severe lung infection, so you must be doubly careful?
I am extremely careful. I am not meeting anyone and even if it is a family member it is, ‘Hi hello. How Are You?’ from a distance.

But even that is dangerous for you considering your medical history?
I know. I am following my two personal doctors’ and three nurses’ orders blindly. Whatever they say I can’t do, I don’t even think about. I’d ideally want complete isolation for me and for everyone at the moment.

What is your advice to your millions of fans across the world?
We are going through the most trying of times. We all need to unite as one nation to fight this virus. Please listen to the Prime Minister Modiji when he says we all need to stay at home. And listen to my songs if they make you happy at home.

How are you spending your time in isolation? Do you listen to your own songs?
No never! Once I recorded my songs I never went back to them. I spend my time doing riyaaz, doing pooja, watching television, talking on the phone to people close to me and just resting.

Which are five of your songs that according to you must be on everyone’s playlist?
Given the current crisis across the world? ‘Allah Tero Naam’ (from the film Hum Dono), ‘Tum Asha Vishwas Hamare’ (Subah), ‘Ek Tu Hi Bharosa’ (Pukar), ‘Jisse Yeh Duniya Thukrayee Use Tu Hi Toh Apnaye’ (Darpan) and ‘Aayeeye Bahaar Ko Hum Baat Len’ (Taqdeer).

Nora Fatehi turns up the heat with Marjaavaan's new song Ek Toh Kum Zindagani!

Nora Fatehi turns up the heat with Marjaavaan's new song Ek Toh Kum Zindagani! Nora Fatehi's sizzling dance moves in chartbusters including 'Dilbar' ( Satyameva Jayate ) and 'Saki Saki' ( Batla House ) among others has made her a household name in a short span of time. The gorgeous actress, who wants to create a niche for herself as a talented actress, has been focusing more on performance-oriented roles, like last seen in Batla House starring John Abraham. Interestingly, one of the major reasons why Nora agreed to do the song 'Ek Toh Kum Zindagani' in Marjaavaan without charging any money is because she feels obliged to filmmaker Nikkhil Advani and producer Bhushan Kumar who offered her the song 'Dilbar' in Satyameva Jayate, considered to be a turning point in her career. Nora has always been grateful and humbled by the opportunity Nikkhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar have given her with both 'Dilbar' and 'Saki Saki' and s...

Here's why Housefull 4 actress Pooja Hegde likes dusky skin

Bollywood has often been criticized for its portrayal of dark-skinned characters on screen. Even celebrities who endorse or have endorsed fairness creams have been often called out for promoting such products. Recently, in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama , Housefull 4 actor Pooja Hegde spoke about racial mentality. Pooja Hegde was the second runner-up at the Miss Universe India contest in the year 2010. The actress while weighing in on her opinion on the fairness obsession said, “The grass is always greener on the other side, that’s the only logic. When I go abroad people tell me they love my skin tone and like how it is so golden. When you travel around the world the acceptance level will increase about how you look. Whether it is how much you weigh, because we are so conscious about our body. I go abroad and I see bigger women in bikini, so casual and comfortable being who they are and that's what is acceptable there. Even when you watch them, you will not fee...
