The much-anticipated S S Rajamouli directorial RRR was slated to hit screens in the first week of January this year. However, with the resurgence of covid the makers of the Ram Charan, NTR Jr, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn starrer decided on postponing the release of the film. South Korean zombie apocalypse drama All Of Us Are Dead, which premiered on Netflix on January 28, took only a day to reach the top spot in the world’s top 10 programs and topped the streaming giant’s charts worldwide. According to data from analytics company FlixPatrol, the show topped the streaming platform’s charts in over 25 countries since its premiere, including in South Korea, Thailand and Singapore. The actor’s portraits of Heath Ledger, Tim Burton and more have been turned into non-fungible tokens. The collection, titled ‘Never Fear Truth’, features portraits of Depp’s friends and heroes, including Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Hunter S. Thompson, Heath Ledger, Lily-Rose Depp, Tim Burton, Depp’s late dog Mooh, Depp himself, and a fictional character created by his son, called Bunnyman. According to the reports, the collection is developed from original artwork by Johnny Depp, which has been embellished and animated into 11,111 NFTs. South Korean juggernaut BTS member Jimin has undergone surgery. According to the statement released by his agency, the 26-year-old musician was in surgery for acute appendicitis, and also tested positive for COVID-19. BIGHIT Music, BTS' agency, said in a statement, "Jimin experienced sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat on January 30 in the afternoon. He visited a hospital emergency room for a thorough examination, and also took a PCR test. Jimin was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and was tested positive for COVID-19. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested an alleged drug peddler in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput's death on Friday. The accused was a neighbour of the late actor and was reportedly absconding. According to NCB officials, 31-year-old Sahil Shah aka Flacko was held after he returned to the city from Dubai. Reportedly, Sahil's name had come up during an investigation of an accused in a drug case related to the death of Sushant. Sahil will be questioned by the officials in a marijuana seizure case of last year as well as Sushant's death in 2020. As per reports, Sahil had been on the run for nine months after his name was revealed by the NCB in connection with their investigation into the drugs case. In June 2021, Sahil had filed a plea to protect himself from arrest in the case after it was reported that he was the prime suspect in the agency's drug probe related to Sushant's demise. South Korean singer-actor Lee Seung Gi once again shared some warmth by making a thoughtful donation to hospital patients. According to Korean publication Soompi, on January 27, it was shared that Lee Seung Gi donated 100 million won (around Rs. 62 lakhs) to Severance Hospital to help children and adolescents who are undergoing rehabilitation. The actor has previously made a number donations to support those in need.
